1. Business & Finance Exam:
Every contractor in the state has to pass the B&F exam

1). What's the Difference between the General & Building contractors license?
CGC or CBC

and have the same amount of time: 4hrs:30mins.
3). What's the difference in the examinations?
General Contractor will see 65 questions on each trade knowledge exam.
Building Contractor will see 60 questions on each trade knowledge exam.
Residential Contractor will see 50 questions on each trade knowledge exam.​
4). Should I take the Certified General Contractor (CGC) test even if I only qualify for CBC or CRC?
Yes, if you hold the CBC or CRC for 4 years without violations, you can Upgrade to CGC and are exempt for the 4 story commercial experience requirement.
