The Department of Business and Professional Regulation (Department) sends this notice to remind Construction Industry Licensing Board (CILB) licensed contractors that it is against the law to perform any act which assists a person or entity in engaging in the prohibited uncertified and unregistered practice of contracting, which includes obtaining permits on behalf of unlicensed individuals. Any such act constitutes aiding and assisting unlicensed activity.
